Technical Description – Casolin Junior Frame Press

The “Casolin Junior” frame press is a hydraulic vertical frame press designed for the efficient production of medium and large series of window and door frames. Manufactured by the Italian company Casolin G. & C. s.n.c., it is constructed for industrial manufacturing processes in woodworking and window production.

Purpose of Application

This machine is used for hydraulic pressing and assembly of window and door frames after pre-gluing or initial assembly. It ensures uniform pressure distribution and high pressing force to achieve precise frame geometry and a durable connection of components.

Design and Function

The Casolin Junior is a vertical, free-standing hydraulic press. It consists of a robust steel frame with hydraulic vertical and horizontal cylinders that close and clamp the frame elements over defined pressing paths. The pressing force is generated by an electrohydraulic system that enables both vertical and horizontal pressure movements.

* Hydraulic Pressure: The machine operates with independently adjustable hydraulic cylinders for vertical and horizontal pressing movements to ensure stable and even force distribution on the frame.
* Self-centering Horizontal Cylinders: These ensure that pressure is always applied centrally to the frame structure, increasing the quality and precision of the press joint.
* Ergonomic Operation: Control panel with clearly arranged controls for simple handling and setting of pressing parameters; optionally, an optoelectronic measuring and control system can be integrated for automatic adjustment of pressing dimensions.
