The refrigerant gas exits the compressor and flows to the air inlet connection of the ATC-E condenser. Heat from the refrigerant is transferred through the heat exchanger tubes to the water that flows downward through the tubes. Simultaneously, air is drawn into the air inlet grilles at the base of the condenser and flows upward over the heat exchanger, counter to the water flow. A small portion of the water evaporates, and heat is removed from the system. The warm, moist air is drawn by the fan to the top of the evaporative condenser and released into the atmosphere. The remaining water falls into the collection basin at the bottom of the condenser, where it is recirculated through the water distribution system and flows down over the heat exchanger.

Thermal-Pak II Heat Exchanger
