Press-fitting device for ceramic pins in rotor shafts
Operating principle:

The ceramic pins are fed from a test station via a pneumatic hose using an oscillating feeder. At the test station, the position of any existing one-sided bore is checked using an optical sensor.
Incorrectly positioned parts are conveyed to a collection container via a pneumatic slide.
Correctly positioned pins are fed to the singulator of the press-fitting tool via another pneumatic hose.

The actual press-fitting process is also carried out pneumatically using a roller bearing-guided plunger.
Initially, a manually adjustable pressure p1 is used to control the process and ensure that the pin is not pressed too easily into the shaft.
Then, a second, also manually adjustable pressure p2 is used to press the pin firmly into the rotor shaft.
A disc spring package pre-tensioned with 5,000 N prevents excessive force from being exerted on the pin and shaft.

The rotor shaft must be manually inserted into, removed from, and clamped in the tool by an operator. This process is secured by a light curtain.
