Lorch iQS series – Top-level welding for maximum productivity in industrial manufacturing
Maximum performance and reproducible quality:
The Lorch iQS series is a powerful, digitally networked MIG-MAG welding system for demanding industrial applications. The newly developed inverter generates an exceptionally stable and smooth arc. All parameters can be continuously adjusted to the optimal operating point – for high-quality, reproducible welds on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The iQS is suitable for both manual welding and robotic integration, providing a future-proof platform for modern manufacturing companies.
Less spatter, less rework:
The innovative Smart Process Control Engine enables continuous development of the available welding programs. New processes and functions can be transferred to the system, ensuring that users always work with the latest technology. The integrated RCS module improves short-circuiting in particular: the process runs more cleanly, the weld pool is easier to control, and spatter formation is reduced. This increases weld quality and reduces time-consuming and costly rework – especially on thin sheets under 3 mm.
Lorch Speed processes for higher productivity:
Depending on the configuration, proven Lorch processes such as SpeedPulse XT, SpeedArc, SpeedTwin, SpeedRoot, SpeedUp, and SpeedCold are available. They enable higher welding speeds, better penetration, attractive weld bead surfaces, and precise process control. Users receive a flexibly configurable solution for a wide range of materials, weld geometries, and welding positions.
Intuitive operation with Smart Cockpit:
The robust 7-inch Smart Cockpit can be operated via touchscreen or rotary control – even with welding gloves. A clear menu guides users, displaying only suitable material, wire, and gas combinations, thereby reducing incorrect settings. Important parameters can be accessed immediately via the configurable QuickAccess menu. Current values are visualized during welding; subsequently, the Hold function indicates whether the specified parameters have been met.
Networked, robust, and easy to service:
WLAN and Lorch Connect enable the recording, documentation, and analysis of welding data, as well as updates and future function upgrades. The encapsulated air duct, the dust-protected electronics area, and the modular design simplify maintenance and ensure uncomplicated service. Optionally, the robust MF-09 wire feeder complements the system with 4x4 drive, a quick-change system, and various chassis and transport options.
Technical performance variants:
The iQS 3 offers a welding range of 25 to 320 A, and the iQS 5 offers a range of 25 to 400 A. Both models operate on 3-phase power supplies from 380 to 480 V, have an IP23S protection rating, and a robust 4x4 wire feed unit. The equipment and scope of delivery depend on the chosen configuration.
