The MAZAK Variaxis J600 is a powerful vertical 5-axis machining center for the precise and efficient complete machining of complex milling parts. It features a tilting A-axis (-120° to +90°) and a continuously rotating C-axis (±360°), allowing even complex geometries to be completed in a single setup – ideal for general mechanical engineering as well as series and single-part production.

The robust design with travels of 850 mm in the X-axis, 550 mm in the Y-axis, and 510 mm in the Z-axis offers ample working space. The rotary table with Ø600 × 500 mm can accommodate workpieces with a maximum diameter of approximately 730 mm and a maximum height of 450 mm – with a maximum table load of 500 kg. The distance from the spindle nose to the table surface can be adjusted between 70 and 580 mm, enabling flexible accommodation of various workpiece geometries.

The powerful milling spindle with speeds up to 12,000 rpm and the SK40 tool holder (DIN 69871) ensure high cutting performance and precision. The tool magazine (ATC) with 30 tool positions ensures short non-cutting times and flexible machining processes, even for complex manufacturing tasks.

The machine is controlled via the modern MAZATROL SmoothG control system, which offers intuitive operation, fast programming, and high process reliability. Comprehensive features ensure optimal machining conditions: internal coolant supply (IKZ), automatic tool length measurement, synchronous thread drilling, cylindrical interpolation, and the high-speed functions High Speed, Super High Speed, “G00 slope constant,” a KSS mist extraction system from LNS, a chip conveyor from Mayfran, and a Renishaw measuring system.

With a machine weight of approximately 11,000 kg and dimensions of 3,075 × 3,325 × 3,060 mm (L × W × H), the model offers high stability and vibration damping, which has a positive effect on surface quality and dimensional accuracy.

Overall, this is a modern and versatile 5-axis machining center that guarantees high precision, performance, and reliability in industrial production.
