Offered is a used, stationary RAKO 12-jaw precision clamping system for mounting on a fixed machine table.

The clamping system was used for machining brass cages for ball and roller bearings. It is not a conventional turning chuck for a machine spindle, but rather a permanently mounted workpiece clamping device.

The design features twelve basic jaws arranged radially and evenly around the circumference. This distributes the clamping force over numerous contact points. This clamping principle is particularly suitable for large, ring-shaped, thin-walled, sensitive, or easily deformable workpieces.

According to the existing manufacturer's drawings, different jaw positions are possible for internal and external clamping.

The clamping system has an outer diameter of approximately 1,600 mm and a weight of approximately 2,000 kg.

Condition

Used condition with signs of wear and tear due to age and use. Scratches, dirt, discoloration, and, in some places, slight surface rust or corrosion can be seen on the clamping system and individual accessories.

Jaws and accessories

The scope of delivery includes an extensive range of different clamping and adapter jaws. Documented, among other things, is an adapter jaw H41 with drawing number 0721.02-03 and a finished size of 55 × 50 × 46 mm.
