The TREIF FALCON evolution is an advanced, high-speed industrial slicer and portion cutter for red meat, pork, poultry, and cheese – both bone-in and boneless. Introduced in 2018, the machine scans each piece with cameras, weighs it using an integrated scale, and automatically selects the cutting point to produce portions of a specified weight or thickness. This enables the production of consistent portions at high throughput and replaces manual portioning and weight control in processing plants.

How does the TREIF FALCON evolution work?

The product is placed on a conveyor and fed to a gripper, which guides it through the machine, while an upper clamp stabilizes the piece during cutting. Cameras scan the product from four sides, and an integrated scale measures its weight, allowing the software to combine anatomical and volumetric portioning. The blade is guided along the product’s contour and cuts slices or portions whose weight or thickness are automatically calibrated to the preset value.

The portions are placed on the discharge conveyor and can be transferred to subsequent machines in the line, such as packaging, tray-loading, or freezing machines. The machine can be equipped with a pre-conveyor, a checkweigher, and sorting stations, which increase the accuracy and automation of the process.

The machine can divide product into portions in different weight categories at the press of a button, and optional software, including a Performance Pack that increases output and yield optimisation modules, lets the machine be matched to the plant’s requirements.

The Premium-Hygiene-Design construction is open, and the opening mechanism and reduced accessory weight allow quick, easy cleaning and lower maintenance effort. An optional downstream check weigher (up to 300 weighing cycles per minute) with feedback control continuously regulates giveaway, while optional sorting, a robot for sorting and placement, a portioning separator, and a grouping unit reduce the need for manual work.
