Machine Concept:
The WEIMA high-performance shredders, with their flexible application possibilities, can process all types of wood materials (hardwood, softwood, chipboard, MDF materials, plywood, veneer waste, etc.) into fuel chips and achieve enormous volume reduction, especially with bulky materials.

Operation:
The machine is equipped with a large feed hopper, which can be loaded either by conveyor belt or manually. The hopper can be customized according to individual requirements and ensures continuous and cost-effective material feed without the need for manual assistance. A hydraulically controlled pusher supplies the wood waste to be shredded to the rotor's cutting area, operating automatically and load-dependently. The internal slider guides are made of highly wear-resistant plastic (polyamide) and can be adjusted. The hydraulic cylinders are mounted with universal joints to prevent lateral forces on the piston seals.

The patented, profiled V-rotor made from solid steel has a diameter of 252 mm and operates at a rotor speed of 80–120 rpm. The concave-ground, aggressive, and four-way reversible cutters / cutting crowns are located in milled knife pockets on special cutter holders. This patented system, by enabling for the first time the reduction of the cutting gap between the counter knife and rotor, ensures high throughput capacity, low energy consumption, and optimal discharge of shredded material.
