Machine concept:
The Weima high-performance shredders offer versatile applications and are capable of processing all types of wood materials (hardwood, softwood, chipboard, MDF materials, plywood, veneer scraps, etc.) into fuel chips, providing significant volume reduction even for bulky materials.

Operation:
The machine features a large feed hopper and can be loaded either manually or via conveyor belt. This hopper can be customized to meet individual requirements and ensures continuous and cost-effective material feeding without the need for manual assistance. A hydraulically operated ram conveys the wood waste to be shredded into the rotor’s cutting area, with operation automatically and load-dependently controlled. The internal ram guides are made of highly wear-resistant plastic (polyamide) and are adjustable. The hydraulic cylinders are mounted on universal joints to prevent lateral forces on the piston seals.

The patented and profiled V-rotor is made of solid steel with a diameter of 252 mm, operating at a rotor speed of 80–120 rpm. The concavely ground, aggressive, and four-way reversible cutting knives/inserts are located in milled knife pockets on special knife holders. This patented system, which minimizes the cutting gap between counter knife and rotor, ensures high throughput, low energy consumption, and optimal discharge of shredded material.

Power transmission from the electric motors is achieved via V-belts to a heavy-duty gearbox mounted on one end of the shaft.
