Finishing of sealing surfaces The finishing of the sealing surfaces of the approx. 17m long tubes is done by an NC-controlled feed unit and an NC-controlled facing slide with 2 ABS tool holders for either lathe tools, measuring sensors or measuring probes. The work piece is first measured via the measuring sensors in the slide heads and aligned by the adjustable roller supports. The tube is hydraulically tightened into position by the swimming jaw once it lies at a right angle and centric to the facing slide head.
