245 HP Mercedes-Benz 4x4 Refrigerated Truck
Cold-chain transport does not always remain on perfectly maintained roads.
The Mercedes-Benz Atego 1725A provides the refrigerated body with a capable 4x4 platform designed to continue operating when transport conditions become more demanding. Power comes from a Mercedes-Benz inline six-cylinder diesel engine producing 180 kW / 245 HP, combined with the Mercedes-Benz G 85-6 manual transmission and VG550 transfer case.
Differential locks on both the front and rear axles provide additional traction when operating on loose surfaces, unpaved roads or challenging delivery routes. This makes the Atego particularly interesting for refrigerated transport operations that need more mobility than a conventional 4x2 distribution truck can provide.

Purpose-Built Insulated Refrigerated Body
Temperature-controlled transport starts with the body.
The approximately 5,000 mm refrigerated body uses GRP sandwich-panel construction engineered around insulation, strength and practical cargo operation. The side walls and roof incorporate 50 mm insulation between gel-coated GRP layers, reinforced by wood and steel profiles.
The floor receives additional thermal protection with 80 mm insulation, together with marine plywood and a chequered or raindrop aluminium upper surface. This combination creates a durable insulated cargo environment suitable for professional temperature-controlled distribution.
