Getting that cargo to its destination when the road becomes difficult is another. The Mercedes-Benz Atego 1725A 4x4 Refrigerated Truck combines a 245 HP Mercedes-Benz EURO 3 drivetrain with front and rear differential locks, a purpose-built insulated GRP body and Carrier refrigeration equipment.

The result is a refrigerated truck developed for cold-chain distribution where reliability, cargo protection and increased mobility all matter.

Why This Configuration?

Refrigerated distribution becomes more demanding when destinations are located beyond conventional road networks.

The Atego 1725A addresses both parts of that challenge. The Mercedes-Benz 4x4 chassis provides the mobility. The insulated refrigerated body provides the cargo protection. A 245 HP six-cylinder diesel engine, manual Mercedes-Benz transmission, transfer case and differential locks on both axles create a drivetrain suited to demanding routes.

Behind the cab, the approximately five-metre GRP refrigerated body provides an insulated environment supported by Carrier refrigeration equipment. One vehicle designed around moving temperature-sensitive cargo where it needs to go.

Built for Temperature-Controlled Distribution

The refrigerated body uses insulated sandwich-panel construction with gel-coated GRP surfaces and internal reinforcement.

Side walls and roof incorporate 50 mm insulation, while the floor uses 80 mm insulation together with marine plywood and a heavy-duty aluminium upper surface.

Twin insulated rear doors are sealed using dedicated PVC gaskets to help protect the controlled cargo environment during transport. Interior lighting provides additional practicality during loading and unloading operations.

Carrier Refrigeration

The refrigerated body is equipped with a Carrier refrigeration system to support controlled cargo temperatures during transport.

Combined with the insulated body construction, the cooling system creates a practical cold-chain solution for regional and international distribution. Whether moving food products, agricultural produce or other temperature-sensitive cargo, the vehicle has been configured around dependable refrigerated transport.
