The system operates with CO₂ (R744), a refrigerant that delivers high thermal performance while meeting environmental standards. The SG900 Twin also features automated regulation to maintain freezing parameters without constant monitoring. The operator only needs to intervene to adjust recipes or throughput, streamlining day-to-day operation.

Defrosting is quick and pre-programmed; a 20-minute cycle every 8 hours is sufficient to keep the tunnel operating at peak efficiency. This reduces downtime and supports continuous operation.
