The SAFELINE R Series Profile industrial metal detector, manufactured by the renowned METTLER TOLEDO, is a reliable solution designed for continuous quality control of products in the food industry (meat, processing, bakery, dairy, and catering). The device is used to automatically detect and remove metallic contaminants (ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and stainless steel) from packaged products or products transported in bulk on a conveyor belt.
The heart of the machine is an advanced detection head with multi-frequency technology (100 kHz and 300 kHz), which guarantees high sensitivity and stable operation even with challenging products that have a high "product effect" (e.g., salty, moist products, fresh meat or cheese). Products are moved on a hygienic belt conveyor made of modular plastic, with a width of 270 mm. When foreign objects are detected, the automatic rejection system immediately removes the contaminated product from the line, preventing damage to packaging machines and protecting the finished product from entering the distribution chain.
