The crack detection unit consists of a portable housing with operating and display elements, connection cables for magnetization, and a mains power plug.
Applications
The crack detection unit is designed for the inspection of surface cracks in welded joints, large forgings and castings, mechanical engineering components, and can also be used as a power unit for stationary magnetic particle inspection benches.
Only ferromagnetic workpieces can be tested!
During magnetization, the workpiece must be wetted with a testing fluid (inspection medium). Defects can then be detected under UV light (UV inspection lamp).
