Custom-built long reach boom and arm systems manufactured by Galen for excavators that need extended digging depth and reach. Our long reach excavator boom is engineered for dredging, river and canal cleaning, pond and reservoir maintenance, deep foundation and basement excavation, slope profiling and embankment work – any job where a standard boom simply cannot reach far or deep enough.

We manufacture long reach booms made to order, with reach up to 22 m and beyond, built from Hardox and Strenx high-strength steel for the best balance of reach, durability and weight. Each long reach boom-arm system is produced with full structural calculation, so that machine stability, hydraulic flow and bucket capacity are correctly matched to the extended geometry. The result is a properly balanced long reach system – not just a longer arm – that works safely at full extension.

Supplied as a complete long reach boom + arm conversion or as individual sections, including correct hydraulic piping, cylinders and counterweight recommendations. We produce for all major excavator brands and models – Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, Hidromek, Hyundai, Doosan, Liebherr and others – with mounting matched to your exact machine.
