MERCEDES-BENZ Vario 814D Diff Klima Standh 120km/h

A well-maintained MB Vario 814D from government/federal police ownership.
Equipped as a bus (group vehicle) MR / high roof with full climate control & auxiliary heater,
ABS and a differential lock on the rear axle, as well as a retarder,
which is an electrically operated, wear-free eddy current brake for adjusting the speed.

Before sale, the windshield will be replaced with a genuine glass one.
Thanks to its good insulating properties, the plastic glazing on the side windows and in the rear section of the vehicle can remain.
Furthermore, before sale, the bases and deflector shields of the former rotating beacons will be removed from the roof.
The mounting holes will then be permanently sealed by us with metal plates and body adhesive.
Also, before sale, we will remove the rear wooden cabinets.
This will also create space for an RV conversion.

Technically, this Vario is in good condition and does not require any immediate repairs - it has been regularly serviced according to the service schedule.

All components such as the engine, transmission and rear axle are dry.

The air conditioning and auxiliary heater are functional and very effective:

1.) The air conditioning system has two evaporators and vents above each seat in the passenger compartment.
2.) The auxiliary heater is a hot water circulating heater with convectors in the passenger compartment for draft-free heating.

Maximum speed Vmax according to the documents: 120 km/h

A total of 11 seats, the seats in the passenger compartment are designed as reclining seats -
with adjustable backrests and armrests, and the left inner seats can also be
moved forward on the console by approximately 10 cm for more freedom of movement.
A total of three effective roof vents.

Interior dimensions from the driver's seat: 4000 x 1850 x 1900 mm (LxWxH)

For an additional cost of €750, we can carry out a technical modification to convert it into a motorhome if some seats are removed.
Due to space limitations, up to 8 seats are possible.
In this context, the Vario will also receive a 220V external power connection.

The body can be described as in good condition.
There is partial corrosion on the lower sill edges L and R as well as on the rear door.
In our body shop, we can effectively remove the rust spots.
Severely corroded sections will be cut out and replaced with new sheet metal.
This is done by our trained bodywork specialists - professionally and invisibly afterwards.
Subsequently, the sections will be baked in the paint booth by trained professionals at 80 degrees to the next edge.
This creates a closed paint surface, which thus effectively protects against any penetrating moisture.

The sill panels will also be partially de-rusted from the rear and protected against new corrosion with a special paint coating.
Cavities of the treated areas will be preserved with wax.

We can offer you these body and paintwork services for an additional cost of €3,900.
The time required for this is approximately 4-6 weeks, depending on the workload of the workshop.

However, the Vario would also be roadworthy without these bodywork repairs.
It drives well, and the gearbox shifts precisely.
